SUMMER JAPAN, JULY - AUGUST 2018

Hot! Big white puffy clouds stacked in the sky. The summer in Japan is intense. Intense humidity. The city commuter life can be tough in summer.  Sprawling grids and networks of steel, glass and concrete feel like ovens. Still, nothing beats a cool ancient forest, a bbq, the beaches, a summer festival, cotton yukata, fireworks, fireworks, and fireworks, cold rivers and beer gardens.

Naoya Matsuoka album cover sums up perfectly the beauty of the July/August summer rain clouds in the sky. Note the woman with the parasol wearing a kimono, a traditional but not uncommon sight in Japan.
